Daycare Hestia Driemond, formerly Hobbithoeve, has been located in the heart of the village of Driemond for 20 years. In a beautiful characteristic location with groups that all have large windows, lots of light and access to the gardens. In July 2023, Hestia took over this location from the founders of the Hobbithoeve. The personal and family atmosphere in the team and therefore also in the groups is noticed by many people. Every day the children play here in the gardens that are specially designed for their age. For example, we have baby and toddler gardens and also a large toddler garden. There are as many familiar faces as possible in the groups so that it feels nice and familiar for the children. There are also two after-school care groups at the location.
Natural development & autonomy
We believe that everything is already in a child. It does not have to become anyone because it is already someone. We honor and respect the autonomy of a child and help it to become aware of itself, others and the world around it. We follow the natural development of a child and give a lot of freedom to his or her way of learning. In this we are inspired by our own experience and that of Reggio Emilia, Montessori and Steiner. Our pedagogical vision, the Hestia Way, is unique and for us the daily source of inspiration in how we support children in their development. We empower children.
Discovering nature
We bring children into contact with nature every day, study creepy crawlies and see it as our mission to make children aware of all the wonders that nature has to offer. We also learn from the children to look at it differently. This also means that children often play outside with us. Even when it rains, our children go out in nice outdoor suits to enjoy the fresh air. We also regularly go out and take walks in the fields next door.
Daycare Hestia Driemond: Creativity & culture
At Daycare Hestia Driemond we stimulate imagination, talent development and self-expression. We think it is important that children can relax after a busy day at school in which they have to do a lot. Children learn to express themselves through play, themes and open creativity. We think that is important. That is why you will find a lot of attention for the following components at our daycare:

We also regularly celebrate parties with the parents. Think of cultural festivals such as Keti Koti, Christmas but also St. Martin and the Summer Festival. We often give this a multicultural touch so that children learn from, for example, the food, language and customs of another.
Integration to Hestia Kinderdagverblijf Driemond
The transition from an old organization to a new one requires attention and time. Here too, we take the time to slowly introduce the team and the location to the Hestia way of working. In doing so, we want to respect the old and not go too fast. So you will notice that step by step this location will increasingly feel like Hestia.
Daycare Hestia Driemond
Hestia Driemond Daycare is located in a former church building in the village centre of Driemond. The building was renovated 20 years ago to provide childcare, which means that all the rooms are very pleasant for the children. All Daycare groups have their own access to the large gardens. This way, the babies and toddlers can play quietly under the large trees and we have a bit more challenge and adventure for the toddlers in the garden on the other side. At this location, we offer childcare and after-school care for children up to 6 years old. After the sixth year, children can move on to our special sports after-school care Matchzo just around the corner. The team at Hobbithoeve has been working together for many years and is well attuned to each other. The employees are all familiar with living and working in a small community. You can see and feel the sense of community at the location.
